Over the years, the two countries have developed a strong partnership, particularly in trade, culture, and education. In 1974, South Korea opened its embassy in Dhaka, and Bangladesh reciprocated by opening its embassy in Seoul in 1987. The relationship has been marked by mutual visits and the signing of multiple agreements to strengthen bilateral ties. The most notable cooperation has been in the economic sector, where both countries have participated in numerous trade and investment initiatives.
