Nepal reciprocated by opening its embassy in Seoul in 2007. Over the years, the relationship has grown significantly, marked by high-level visits and agreements in various sectors. Notable milestones include the state visit of the South Korean President to Nepal in 2016 and the visit of the Nepalese Prime Minister to South Korea in 2019. The two countries have developed strong ties in politics, economy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges, with a focus on strategic partnerships in areas such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
