Diplomatic Relations
Diplomatic relations between Turkey and South Korea were officially established on August 11, 1949, when Turkey recognized South Korea as an independent state. The cooperation began with Turkey's participation in the Korean War, creating a special bond between the two nations. Turkey was the third country to establish a permanent embassy in South Korea. Over the years, the relationship has grown stronger, marked by high-level visits and increased economic and cultural exchanges.
